Family Memory CD
Connect and Reflect with Music
We all know from experience that music can evoke emotions
and rekindle memories. Who hasn’t been moved by a favorite
song or been transported instantly back to a cherished place
or time?
The magic of music continues for people with memory loss.
Studies have shown that music reduces their depression, anxiety,
and agitation. It has also been shown to increase participation in
activities, to enrich the quality of reminiscence, and to promote
cooperation with caregivers during meals and bathing. In short,
music is both stimulating and soothing, and this makes it an
important tool for improving quality of life.
Listen to the Family soundtrack while you do other things.
You’ll find the CD helpful at bathing time, mealtime, or anytime
you want to recall the happy mood of the Family Video.
